Free Community Concert in New York – Fats Waller Dance Party – July 28

A free outdoor concert featuring the critically acclaimed “Fats Waller Dance Party” created by pianist/composer Jason Moran and singer/songwriter/bassist Meshell Ndegeocello, both of whom will perform, kicks off Harlem Stage’s 30th Anniversary season on Saturday, July 28, starting at 5 p.m. at Annunciation Park/Bruce Paltrow Field adjacent to the historic Harlem Stage Gatehouse.  The “Fats Waller Dance Party,” a free community concert celebrating Harlem Stage’s 30th Anniversary. Features Jason Moran and Meshell N’degeocello, with openers Kimberly Nicole, Amma Whatt, and DJ sets from I Love Vinyl.

WHEN: July 28, 2012, 5-9 PM, gates open at 4 PM

WHERE: Harlem Stage at Annunciation Park/Bruce Paltrow Field, 134th Street @ Amsterdam Avenue
