Free Beer, Art, Faith, Technology – May 15

Are you ready for some fun this weekend?  Then check out the fledgling collaborative Opt-In as it transforms several floors of a former convent into an exhibition, concert, dance party and interactive environment, in an attempt to explore the intersection between faith and technology this Saturday, May 15.  Come early for free beer, donated by the Climax Brewing Company Join  Zero Day Exploits is a one-night-only art event featuring the participation of more than 20 local and international artists, including members of the Nsumi Collective, Union Docs and the Modern Gypsies. It features an ongoing public art piece by Brooklyn Art Project that allows for spontaneous creation and ample tweeting. Expect free beer (while supplies last), secret performers, bands, DJs and burlesque. A $5 suggested donation goes to St. Cecilia’s in return for hosting this massive and experimental event. Don’t miss your chance to experience DJs in the chapel this Saturday. Zero Day Exploits, St. Cecilia’s Convent, 21 Monitor St between Herbert and Richardson Sts, Williamsburg, Brooklyn
